Introduction |
The rapid progress that China has made in the last decade proves beyond doubt the role of politics in the economic development of a country. The rapid strides that China has made have taken it ahead of India in many areas.
In 2004, China had 12 major international airports, 29,000 km of high quality four-lane highways, business centers and many state-of-the-art edifices. And all these were built during the last decade. The Guangzhou airport in China can handle 27 million passengers and a million tonnes of cargo a year.
